Our Bachelor of Arts in Art and Design program offers an immersive, hands-on education designed to empower you as an artist and engaged citizen. Customize your journey through diverse artistic pathways—from Graphic Art and Digital Design to Pre-Art Therapy—while exploring a full spectrum of media including painting, sculpture, and digital art.

Admission Requirements

• Academic Admissibility: Being academically eligible for admission to Shenandoah University.
• Successfully completing and passing the interview and portfolio review process (outlined below).

Portfolio Requirements

• Upload 8-10 images of artwork that applicants feel are the strongest examples of their artistic talent and experience. It is helpful to see a variety of subjects and styles in the portfolio, as well.

Interview Requirements

• A virtual interview with the Art and Design Program Director, which includes review and discussion of:
  • Portfolio submissions
  • Artistic experience including any classes (in or out of school), workshops, camps, etc.
  • Future goals and dream jobs within the field of Art and Design.
