Shenandoah Conservatory Launches New B.A. in Music Degree (3-year)

Shenandoah Conservatory will launch the Bachelor of Arts in Music program with a classical music emphasis in January 2023. The degree is designed for students who want to earn a music degree in three years while also taking courses in other disciplines. Students can also expand the program into a four-year experience by adding a double-major track, allowing them the opportunity to study music in a conservatory as well as combine their music major with biology, media & communication, English or another major or minor from Shenandoah University’s College of Arts & Sciences or the School of Business.

“Repeatedly, we’ve found that some of our most creative and energetic music students are hungry for access to a broader array of study,” said Shenandoah Conservatory Dean and Professor of Music Michael Stepniak, Ed.D. “Whether taken as a single three-year or dual four-year degree, this new program provides those students with a wider field of play, and prepares them for a broader array of possible careers. We are delighted to be offering this degree alongside our many dynamic and industry-focused degrees.”
