Theatre Students Invited to Watch Experimental Theatre Performances at The Writer’s Center

Students from Shenandoah Conservatory’s theatre department were invited by Gregory Keng Strasser to visit The Writer’s Center in Bethesda, Maryland, and watch two experimental theatre performances of Tristan B. Willis’ “paper backs” and Caridad Svich’s “Life Jacket” on Saturday, Feb. 18. 4615 Theatre Company recently presented its new repertory productions of these world-premiere plays. Strasser, who wrote and directed the Acting Incubator Project: “The Song of Achilles” play at Shenandoah in the Spring 2022 semester, invited students to watch these back-to-back performances.

“It was amazing getting to see Greg again, especially in a different role from the director,” said Caleb Richardson ’23 (Bachelor of Fine Arts in Acting). “It was a great opportunity for us as students to engage with up-and-coming directors in the D.C. metro area.”
