If you are looking for a music school, conservatory or college/university with a structured and robust chamber music program, Shenandoah Conservatory offers a program that is designed to accommodate all levels of training, whether you are a prospective undergraduate or graduate student, performance major or non-performance major.

Shenandoah Conservatory’s chamber music program also offers a D.M.A. in Performance with an emphasis in Chamber Music and provides all graduate and undergraduate music students the opportunity to explore, study and perform works from the vast iconic repertoire of chamber music literature, spanning the 18th to 21st centuries.

  • Every ensemble is organized by the director of chamber music
  • Each ensemble receives weekly coaching by Shenandoah Conservatory artist chamber music faculty
  • Every group has scheduled weekly rehearsal times and reserved rehearsal rooms
  • Each ensemble performs in scheduled chamber music masterclasses and chamber music recitals
  • Ensembles perform for guest artists in chamber masterclasses
  • Exceptional groups are selected to perform in the Honors Chamber Music Recitals
  • Every group has opportunities to participate in community and outreach activities
  • Ensembles receive career and chamber music competition preparation
  • Earn a D.M.A. in Performance with an emphasis in Chamber Music
