Shenandoah Conservatory Launches New TDP Certificate Programs

The Theatre Design and Production (TDP) program at Shenandoah’s Conservatory is delighted to announce its five new TDP Certificates. These replace the former “second emphasis” and will be available to students both within and outside of the TDP program. The certificates consist of 12 credits in specific courses, and may be earned in scenic design, lighting design, costume design, stage management, and technical production. For TDP students, the certificate is a chance to study in a secondary technical theatre area; for nonmajors, it is an opportunity to explore the world of theatre design and production.

“Being able to offer a certificate for achievement in a second area of production is wonderful recognition for the students’ countless hours spent expanding their marketable skill sets in the industry,” said Director of Theatre Design & Production and Associate Professor of Scenic Design R. Eric Stone, M.F.A. “I greatly appreciate the work of Jennifer Flitton Adams and the rest of the faculty for making this change happen.”
