MPRT, CAA and TDP Students Visit Rock Lititz
Music production and recording technology (MPRT), collaborative audio arts (CAA) and theatre design and production (TDP) students visited Rock Lititz in Lititz, Pennsylvania, for the all-day “Experience LIVE” conference in early November. It was a unique one-day showcase of how to create large-scale live productions such as concert tours, theatrical shows, amusement park interactions, experiential marketing, sporting events, e-games and more.
The event provided an immersive learning opportunity for students interested in concerts, festivals, theatre and live production. Participants explored a wide range of career pathways across lighting, audio, engineering, sculpture, carpentry, design, computer programming, and other STEM-related disciplines through hands-on gear demonstrations, conversations with industry professionals and direct engagement with employers on topics such as organization, quick thinking, creative problem solving, cross-team collaboration, networking and innovative solutions. Designed to offer a comprehensive look at the live entertainment industry, the experience highlighted how artistic vision and technical innovation intersect to create live performances for audiences around the world.
