Rev. DeLyn Celec

DeLyn’s background in music led her into Christian music ministry, and ultimately ordained ministry. She believes that her responsibility to a United Methodist-related institution, based on Methodist heritage, is to welcome, serve, support, and listen deeply to all people of all religious, secular, and spiritual identities. A graduate of the Music Therapy Professional Studies Program from the Conservatory, she truly understands the joys, demands, and triumphs of studying at Shenandoah. No matter your background or what you may want to talk about, Chaplain DeLyn is here for you. Her mantra with those she serves is, “You are not alone!”

Clint Keller

Spiritual Life Program Coordinator & Assistant Chaplain

Clint was born and raised in the Colorado Front Range. Clint received a Bachelor of Arts in World Religions from Oklahoma City University, where he was honored as an Oikos Scholar for his work in peace, social justice, and sustainability. Clint received his Master of Divinity from Garrett-Evangelical Theological Seminary in Chicago, Illinois. Clint’s academic specialties are religious studies, biblical exegesis, ethics, history, and spiritual care for the LGBTQIA+ community. Prior to serving at Shenandoah University, Clint was an Interfaith Chaplain Intern at the University of Southern California in Los Angeles, where he was responsible for providing spiritual care, spiritual programming, and religious services to university students and other members of the campus community. Clint has years of experience running academic, spiritual, interfaith, social justice, and charity events.

Clint is a scholar, writer, band geek, sports fan, and gamer (video, card, board, TTRPG, etc.). Clint’s ministry focuses on celebrating personal stories, building community, and pursuing excellence. Clint is interested in nearly everything and would be happy to talk with you about any subject.

Denisse Sausnavas

Interfaith & Engagement Coordinator

Denisse was born and raised in Ecuador. She came to the United States at the age of 18 and quickly fell in love with the beauty of different cultures and beliefs. Throughout her journey of learning a new language, she had the incredible opportunity to spend two wonderful years in ESL classes, where she learned alongside people from China, Pakistan, Mexico, Guatemala, Cambodia, and many other countries.

After earning her associate’s degree, Denisse began a new chapter at Shenandoah University. She graduated with two bachelor’s degrees in Environmental Science and Spanish, along with minors in Biology, Geography, and Global Studies. Denisse is an animal lover who enjoys cooking, reading, and connecting with people from diverse backgrounds. She’s known for being warm, friendly, and easy to talk to, so don’t hesitate to stop by the office and say Hola!

Victor Gómez

United Methodist Chaplain

Rev. Dr. Víctor Gómez moved to Winchester in 1993 to study music at Shenandoah Conservatory. Having fallen in love with Winchester, he remained after he graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in music composition. Rev. Dr. Gómez’ wife and partner in ministry, Heather, have one daughter, Jessenia. He is an ordained Elder in the United Methodist Church, holding a bachelor’s degree, two master’s degrees, and a doctorate. Since 2011, he has served richly as an active part of the Winchester area as pastor, chaplain, and advocate. He comes with strong theological roots, believes that mission is vital for ministry, and looks for opportunities to serve God and expand as far as possible. Rev. Dr. Victor Gómez has generously given of his many gifts in positions of leadership and looks forward to a new chapter of ministry with us at Shenandoah University!
