2022 Young Scholars Literary Symposium (YSLS): Gothic Grimoires The Young Scholars Literary Symposium (YSLS) is a one-day academic and creative expression conference for students from the region. Gothic Grimoires, the inaugural theme, is inspired by the 125th anniversary of Stoker’s Dracula. Dr. Amanda Firestone (University of Tampa), an expert on Harry Potter, Twilight, and The Hunger Games, is the keynote speaker. The day is filled with research and creative presentations and workshops; the Page to Stage Luncheon, Apple Cider Ghost Story Hour, and Dracula Film Panel Reception. Symposium registration includes all panels, breakouts, workshops, luncheon, and the apple cider ghost story hour. The Panel Reception is a separate ticketed function. Tickets are $40 for the symposium until October 26th, then $50 for the symposium; $10 ticket for the panel reception; the film screening is free, use this link to get tickets. This detailed schedule provides additional information.
