“Been Here Stay Here” Screening (BTC Event)
April 15 @ 7:00 pm
On Wednesday, April 15, at 7 p.m., SU film faculty, in collaboration with the Alamo Drafthouse Winchester Film Club, will host a screening of “Been Here Stay Here” at Alamo Drafthouse Winchester (181 Kernstown Commons Blvd., Winchester), followed by a Q&A with with Director David Usui and Story Producer Martha Wollner. Tickets are $12, and the first 20 students to register via this Google Form will receive free tickets.
Set on a remote island in the Chesapeake Bay, “Been Here Stay Here” is a documentary that follows a deeply rooted Christian fishing community as it navigates a landscape shifting beneath its feet. A centuries-old way of life — anchored in faith, family, and the rhythms of the bay — stands at a crossroads. The film follows the community’s struggle to hold on to its home, raising questions about belonging, belief, and what it means to stay when the ground beneath you disappears.
