In partnership with the Winchester branch of the American Association of University Women, the Center for Civic Engagement is hosting a candidate forum in Halpin-Harrison Hall, Stimpson Auditorium, on Saturday, Oct. 14, at 10 a.m. All candidates from the following state of Virginia districts have been invited to attend: Senate District 1, House District 31, House District 32, and House District 33. During this informational session, each candidate will speak about relevant issues. Courtney Jarrett, SU’s vice president for finance and chief financial officer, will serve as the moderator. Students, faculty, staff and community members planning to vote in these districts this year are invited to attend and learn about the candidates. Voter registration will also be available.
