Sam Barthel, senior Acting major and Film Studies minor, is directing, producing, and starring in a production of “Danny and the Deep Blue Sea”, the award-winning play by John Patrick Shanley. Shows are Feb. 16, 17. & 18 at 7:30 p.m. in Hal Herman Lab Theatre (Rue 154). Tickets are free and general admission. This event is open to all.

The one-act play follows two lost souls as they meet in a bar and spark up a passionate, vulnerable romance. In an exploration of shame and redemption, Danny and Roberta venture into the deep blue sea, as they show us that no matter how ugly we may be, there is always someone who can forgive us.
