As a part of the upcoming Native Connection-Building Spring Break Service Trip, Spiritual Life is hosting a food drive to collect donations for the Monacan Indian Food Bank. The Monacan Food Bank was created to serve citizens of the Monacan Indian Nation and surrounding communities, and as part of Shenandoah University’s ongoing efforts to connect with and uplift Native communities in Virginia, Spiritual Life will bring these offerings during the week of spring break. Between Feb. 19 and March 8, reach out to Spiritual Life to arrange a drop-off of food donations, stop by our main office in Goodson Chapel, or visit one of the various food box stations across campus (Brandt Student Center, Henkel Hall, the Library, and Halpin-Harrison Hall). Spiritual Life is accepting all non-perishable food donations so long as they are not expired.
