Deadline to Submit Nominations For The 2024 Algernon Sydney Sullivan Award

Each May, Shenandoah University presents three prestigious Algernon Sydney Sullivan awards to two graduating students, as well as to a faculty or staff member. The Algernon Sydney Sullivan Award recognizes “people of noble character” who “ennoble and beautify living” and “invest themselves in the well being of others.” The Shenandoah community is asked to consider nominating someone who fits the following criteria:
Nominees should be undergraduate students who are graduating on the weekend of May 18 and/or university employees (faculty and staff) who have shown to invest in themselves and in the well-being of others at Shenandoah University, as well as in the surrounding community and, by doing so, ennoble and beautify living. Nominees should be persons who have distinguished themselves in service to others and service to their communities. The spirit of Shenandoah University should be seen in the lives of award recipients.
Nominations are due Monday, April 15, by 9 a.m. and can be submitted through a Google Form. If you would like to submit a paper or email nomination, it may be submitted via email to Marco Pflanzen at marco.pflanzen@su.edu or sent through campus mail to the Office of Spiritual Life.
