Live Outdoor Mario Kart Race & Costume Contest

April 29 @ 3:00 pm

Have you ever wanted to play Mario Kart in real life? The Office of Residence Life, Shenandoah Esports, and the Counseling Center have a fun opportunity for you! On Monday, April 29, at 3 p.m. in the Brandt Student Center parking lot, join an IRL Mario Kart Race and raise money for the Concern Hotline.

Get ready to throw some banana peels and toss those turtle shells (water balloons), just like the game! The event includes heat races on Razor DXT Drift Trikes (provided), where participants compete for the fastest heat time while managing to escape obstacles. The event will also feature a Mario Kart character costume contest open to the campus community. Cash prizes are offered to the winners. Race participants are asked to donate $5 and spectators will be encouraged to give $1 donation at the door. Registrants who donate $25 can throw obstacles (space limited). Register via this Google Form and complete the waiver. Questions? Contact Zyquis Triplett at ztriplet19@su.edu

*Rain date will be May 6 at 3 p.m. in the Brandt Student Center parking lot.
