People Need More Than Homes Join the Center for Civic Engagement for a special volunteer training and education event: People Need More Than Homes on Friday, November 11th at 5 p.m. in Hester Auditorium in Henkel Hall. Brandan Thomas, Executive Director of the Winchester Rescue Mission, will talk about the inequities and stigma surrounding homelessness and how we can support community members who find themselves experiencing them. We invite the whole SU community, and especially those who have signed up to serve meals during this winter’s WATTS program (Winchester Area Temporary Thermal Shelter).
