Safe Zone Training
February 25 @ 11:00 am – 12:30 pm
Help foster a more inclusive and affirming campus community by participating in Safe Zone Training at Shenandoah University on Wednesday, Feb. 25, from 11 a.m.-12:30 p.m. in the Lavender Lounge, Cooley Hall, first floor. Hosted by the Office of Inclusion, Diversity & Equity, Safe Zone is a network of students, faculty and staff committed to supporting sexual and gender diversity and creating a campus culture that values every individual. Participants will learn how to serve as allies and provide support and resources to LGBTQ+ individuals and will receive a Safe Zone sticker to display as a visible sign of support. An additional workshop will be offered on March 4. Participants must register in advance using this Google Form. For more information or to inquire about becoming a Safe Zone facilitator, contact Mannie Brown at lavenderlounge@su.edu.
