Virginia Special Election Table

Stay informed about local democracy on Tuesday, April 21, by visiting the Center for Civic Engagement’s information table in the Brandt Student Center. Throughout the day, representatives will be available to discuss the redistricting constitutional amendment featured on Virginia’s special election ballot. This proposed amendment addresses whether the General Assembly should be granted temporary authority to adopt new congressional districts prior to the 2030 census. To ensure all eligible students can cast their votes, the center is providing free transportation to the Jim Barnett Park polling place from 3:30-5:30 p.m. Those interested in catching a ride must sign up in advance via the online registration form.
