Young Screenwriters’ Conference Young Screenwriters’ Conference keynote speaker will begin at 9 a.m. in Hester Auditorium on Saturday, April 1st . All Shenandoah students are invited to attend Christopher C. Rogers, cowriter and showrunner for “Halt and Catch Fire” and “Paper Girls,” presentation on his journey from Handley High School to Hollywood. He’ll also lead attendees through a craft workshop. Interested students may also register for breakout sessions hosted by the film studies, esports, and virtual/augumented reality departments in the afternoon. Registration is not required for the keynote, but is required for the breakout sessions. This event is in partnership with Project Write, Inc., and supported by grants from National Endowment for the Arts, Marion Park Lewis Foundation, and Nora Roberts Foundation.
