Yangtze Normal University × Shenandoah University
Dual-Degree Programs in Engineering (SACSCOC approval pending)
Yangtze Normal University (YZNU) and Shenandoah University (SU) are proud to announce a landmark collaboration to launch two dual-degree bachelor’s programs in engineering, officially approved under Sino-foreign cooperative education framework.
Delivered over four years at YZNU’s scenic main campus in Chongqing, China, these innovative programs blend the strengths of both universities through a bilingual curriculum that integrates YZNU’s rigorous engineering foundation with SU’s high academic standards. Courses will be taught by distinguished faculty from SU—with a substantial portion of the core courses taught in English and the remainder in Mandarin—ensuring students gain both technical mastery and global perspective.
Graduates who fulfill the degree requirements of both institutions will earn bachelor’s degrees from YZNU and SU, opening doors to a world of international opportunities in engineering, technology, and innovation.
This partnership embodies a shared vision for excellence and global engagement, preparing a new generation of engineers who are not only technically skilled, but also culturally fluent, forward-thinking, and ready to lead in today’s dynamic global landscape.
Henan College of Transportation × Shenandoah University
Certificate in Electronic Information Engineering Technology
Henan College of Transportation (HCT) and Shenandoah University (SU) have partnered to offer a joint Electronic Information Engineering Technology program that brings world-class U.S. education into China’s vocational training system. Delivered over three years at HCT’s East Campus in Zhengzhou, the program combines American academic rigor with China’s strengths in applied technical education.
Approved under the Ministry of Education’s Sino-foreign cooperative education framework, the program features a bilingual curriculum jointly developed by both institutions. At least one-third of core courses are taught in English by Shenandoah University faculty, providing students with access to U.S.-based teaching resources, assessment standards, and academic support. Meanwhile, HCT delivers a strong foundation in engineering fundamentals and hands-on training through its robust apprenticeship model.
Graduates of the program will earn a 3-year junior college degree from HCT and a certificate of coursework completion from SU. Students who meet Shenandoah’s English language and academic requirements may transfer to SU’s main campus in Winchester, Virginia, to complete their bachelor’s degree in Engineering. This joint program reflects a shared vision to cultivate globally competent, career-ready professionals equipped to thrive in the fast-changing field of electronic information engineering
