Mission Statement
The mission of the Healthy Hornet Center is to provide students with a space and network of peer support to explore strategies to improve their mental well-being and strengthen resiliency. The Healthy Hornet Center believes that all students can benefit from making a continuous and conscious effort to attend to a lifestyle that supports positive mental well-being, prepares students to overcome challenges, and encourages meaningful engagement with others.

What We Offer
The Healthy Hornet Center provides a designated space where students are invited to connect with one another and work towards their wellness goals. Students can also receive one-on-one mentoring from trained peers that can relate and empathize with many of the common stressors students face.
Peer-to-peer support from a healthy hornet mentor may include:
- Listening to student concerns with empathy and without judgment
- Helping set wellness goals
- Connecting with resources
- Offering a variety of stress reducing activities
- Encouraging personal growth and wellness habits
Please note that our peer mentors are not trained professionals and will connect students to resources for issues needing further support.
