CS 3.4.11 For each major in a degree program, the institution assigns responsibility for program coordination, as well as curriculum development and review, to persons academically qualified in the field. In those degree programs for which the institution does not identify a major, this requirement applies to a curricular area or concentration. (Academic program coordination)

Degree programs at Shenandoah University are divided among the Bernard J. Dunn School of Pharmacy, the College of Arts and Sciences, the Eleanor Wade Custer School of Nursing, the Harry F. Byrd Jr. School of Business, the School of Health Professions, and the Shenandoah Conservatory each headed by a dean, and the School of Education and Human Development, a division of the College of Arts and Sciences administered by a director. Within each of the academic units, programs are divided among divisions headed by directors or departments under a chair. In all cases, full-time faculty, all or most of who have terminal degrees within their discipline, have responsibility for course development, teaching, curriculum review and revision, annual curriculum assessment and periodic self-studies for accreditation. Program coordinators are listed under program requirements in the undergraduate and graduate catalogs.
