Shenandoah University publishes current academic calendars, grading policies, and refund policies in the undergraduate and graduate catalogs, which are available on the university website. Details are outlined in the following paragraphs.

Grade requirements for each course offered by the University are specified in the course syllabus distributed to each student via Blackboard the first day of the course. Faculty are urged to use the Syllabus template, and follow the Syllabus Guidelines developed by the University Curriculum Committee. Three sample syllabi are provided, one for a General Education course, a second for a graduate education course, and the third for a Spanish course.
