For First-Year Students

Shenandoah University accepts several options that provide for credit toward a degree for incoming First-Year students. Such credits are treated as transfer work. No grades are awarded for advanced credit.

College courses taken by high school students while they are still enrolled in high school are considered dual-enrollment coursework. Dual enrollment coursework will likely transfer to Shenandoah University.

Shenandoah University participates in the Advanced Placement program (AP), the International Baccalaureate Examination program (IB) for higher-level courses, and the College-Level Examination Program (CLEP). Students who have been officially admitted to Shenandoah must submit official copies of test results in order to receive credit.
