Application Submission Deadlines

All materials and audition registration will be available on your Application Portal.

  • Firm deadline for application and prescreening submission is January 15, 2026:
    Composition, Conducting, Piano and Voice
  • Recommended deadline application materials submission is April 15, 2026:
    Music Therapy Certification and Church Music programs
  • Rolling Admissions:
    Performing Arts Leadership & Management (PALM) accepts applications on a rolling basis until late August

Audition Dates & Locations

Audition dates are limited and may fill and close well in advance of the posted deadlines. All audition and interview confirmation materials can be accessed in the Application Portal and via the email listed on the application.

  • Saturday, February 7, 2026

Financial Aid & Assistantships

  • Shenandoah Conservatory strongly recommends that all eligible students submit a FAFSA to the Shenandoah University Office of Financial Aid.
  • Graduate Assistantships, both full and partial, are awarded to masters, doctoral, and artist diploma students. The award (which includes full or partial tuition and a stipend) is renewable for up to two years for masters and artist diploma students and three years for doctoral students, pending satisfactory academic progress and the recommendation of the immediate supervisor. The deadline to submit your application is March 1.
  • DMA/Artist Diploma (Post-Master’s) Teaching Assistantships are awarded to doctoral and artist diploma students and consist of a full tuition waiver and a $9000 annual stipend. The award is renewable for two years for artist diploma students and three years for doctoral students, pending satisfactory academic progress and the recommendation of the immediate supervisor. The deadline to submit your application is March 1.

The Office of Graduate Admissions offers Campus Visits, program-specific webinars and information sessions throughout the year. These events include time to speak with graduate admissions representatives and program faculty or deans.
