My favorite spots around SU: When I need time to focus or unwind, I love stopping by the Hideaway Cafe for an iced coffee, browsing at the Tin Top Shop, and getting cozy in the beautiful John Handley Library.
What makes SU special to me: SU is a force in the Winchester community and has always been a part of my life, from going to Shenandoah Summer Music Theater to performing in Armstrong Hall or Goodson Chapel as a teenager. Even in my adult life, I find myself collaborating with Shenandoah students, faculty, and staff.
My advice: Take particular notice of the people you meet; faculty, staff, and your student colleagues. The classes may be great but the college experience comes from the community.
