The Pre-Health Professional Certificate is for students interested in pursuing a career in the health professions aims to promote the foundational knowledge and skills needed to transition to graduate-level health-professions training.
The 12-credit certificate program is designed to provide learning experiences that help students develop in their career path by incorporating aspects of professional identity development, career discernment and practical application of skills such as problem-based learning, self-directed learning and medical research.
Supervised experiential learning experiences in real healthcare settings help situate the learning in real-life medical practice settings. Classes taken with other healthcare students provide an opportunity to learn with others with similar career goals and to continue to develop interpersonal and professional skills.
