You’ve already done the math. Adjunct Associate Professor of Music/French Horn Joe Lovinsky’s 100-mile journey translated into more than $8,000 raised for French horn scholarships at Shenandoah University. That’s more than $80 per mile!
In “just” 31 hours, Lovinsky completed his run on Saturday, March 29. Since then, donations have continued to come in and have pushed him past the $8,000 mark.
“My feet hurt, my legs hurt, everything hurts, but I thank God that he gave me the strength to get through this,” said Lovinsky immediately after completing his journey. “I thank Shenandoah University and Shenandoah Conservatory for their incredible amount of support.”
