On Saturday, March 9, singers from Shenandoah Conservatory competed in Bethesda, Maryland, at the Sue Goetz Ross Memorial Voice Competition presented by the Friday Morning Music Club, Inc. Bass Jonathon Edwards ’20 tied for third place, and soprano Franchesca Henry ’20 and baritone Daniel Burston ’21 received honors. All three students are currently pursuing a Bachelor of Music in Performance (Voice). Edwards and Burston study with Chair of the Vocal/Choral Division and Associate Professor of Voice (Tenor) Byron Jones ’04, D.M.A., and Henry studies with Adjunct Associate Professor of Voice (Soprano) Dawn Kotoski-Shicoff, M.M.
