Viña Performs in ‘Soundflight 2’ with Victory Hall Opera

Assistant Professor of Percussion Karlyn R. Viña, D.M.A., performed in the immersive outdoor production “Soundflight 2” with Victory Hall Opera this month. The show features three singers, accordion, oboe and percussion in the Quarry Gardens in Schuyler, Virginia. She played the percussion solo “To the Earth” by Frederic Rzewski and the improvisatory duo “Echo Chambers” by Simone Baron for accordion and percussion, as well as accompanied singers on works by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and Carly Simon.
