Shenandoah Conservatory Welcomes Two New Staff Members

Shenandoah Conservatory welcomes two new individuals to the Conservatory Front Office staff. Brandey Downs serves as administrative assistant and Zach Abe serves as coordinator of records and projects.

Downs is originally from Chesterfield County, Virginia, but has called Winchester home for more than 17 years. Her love for singing and background in dance as a child and teen, have shaped who she is and helped her develop a love of music, theatre and dance. She is a mom to a son, Logan, who will graduate from high school this year and three ‘fur’ children. She has been married to her husband Jimmy for 23 years and family is very important to her. Most recently working in the field of social work, she looks forward to working with Shenandoah University (SU) students, faculty, staff and alumni.

Abe is a West Virginia native who graduated from West Virginia University in 2016, with a bachelor’s degree in political science. Since then, he has held various positions in business management, worked for a nonprofit organization and currently produces whiskey part-time for a family-owned distillery. In his spare time, he enjoys being with his family and four dogs, as well as tending to his micro farm consisting of a honey bee apiary and chickens. He looks forward to being a part of the SU community and contributing any way he can.
