McCauley ’24, Johnson ’26 and DeFrees ’26 Present Work at 2023 Dumbo Dance Festival

This summer, Ella McCauley ’24 (Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance) traveled with Kylie Johnson ’26 (Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance) and Paige DeFrees ’26 (Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance) to Brooklyn, New York, to share her work “I-95S” at the 2023 Dumbo Dance Festival (DDF) presented by White Wave Dance. This year’s DDF featured 55 contemporary dance troupes and more than 300 artists who presented solo, chamber and full-scale works. Dancers from across the United States and internationally from Italy, Germany, Japan and South Korea joined New York’s active dance community to offer the full range of new directions in dance in the 21st century.

“I-95S” was created in McCauley’s group composition class taught by Assistant Professor of Modern Dance Daniel Padierna, M.F.A.
