Shenandoah students and alumni are encouraged to attend the Employer Expo on Wednesday, May 8, from 2-6 p.m. in the Wilkins Athletics & Events Center. Meet with hiring managers from over 80 companies located in Winchester and Clarke, Frederick, Shenandoah, and Warren counties. There are options for full-time and part-time jobs, internships, and second-chance employment, as well as opportunities to attend free professional development workshops that will explore resumes, mock interview training, and job applications. Complete a workshop to be entered into a drawing for a $1,000 scholarship; multiple scholarships will be awarded. Free professional headshots are also offered on site.
The Employer Expo is hosted by The Workforce Initiative, a partnership of business, education, government, and community stakeholders collaborating to ensure a well-prepared workforce. This event is free for job seekers and is open to the general public. Questions? Contact career@su.edu or the event organizer at vanessa.santiago@winchesterva.gov.
