For the first time, Shenandoah University’s Mock Trial Team competed in the regional competition of the American Mock Trial Association in Williamsburg, Virginia, the most difficult region in the country. Although SU did not advance in its initial regional, the team stood toe-to-toe with the best teams in the nation. Each day, competing teams tried two criminal cases for a total of four cases over the grueling weekend, two as prosecution and two as defense. SU was led by co-captains Bevan Taylor and Elizabeth Wassang.
Adjunct Assistant Professor Jeff Harding, Esq., JD, a full-time litigation attorney, teaches the Trial Advocacy I & II classes that are offered each spring and fall semester. From these classes, students advance to the nationally competitive Mock Trial Team. This program is beneficial for students looking at graduate school and law school. Register for the fall Trial Advocacy class and get in on the fun and exciting program. Questions? Contact Dr. Harding at jeff@jeffhardinglaw.com.
