Dykes and Magro To Lead School of Business AACSB Efforts

Associate Deans To Oversee Ongoing Accreditation Administration

The Shenandoah University School of Business recently tapped Bernadine Dykes, Ph.D., associate dean of graduate programs and professor of management, and Michael Magro, Ph.D., associate dean for faculty affairs and undergraduate curriculum and associate professor of information systems and technology, to lead the school’s ongoing AACSB International accreditation reporting process.

Dr. Dykes and Dr. Magro will oversee the day-to-day management of the accreditation efforts, ensuring the school maintains its commitment to excellence in business education. This includes gathering and analyzing data for reporting, and implementing improvements that enhance the quality of the academic programs and offerings that align with AACSB accreditation standards.

Bernadine and Michael’s leadership, combined with the expertise of our faculty members, will ensure that we continue to uphold the highest standards in business education. This ongoing administrative focus underscores our commitment to continuously improving our programs and evolving to meet the needs of students and the global business community.”

Jeff Coker, Ph.D., Interim Dean, School of Business, and Dean of the College of Arts & Sciences

Shenandoah University passed its five-year AACSB accreditation renewal in April 2022, a recognition first achieved in 2007. AACSB accreditation represents a mark of distinction, representing the highest standard of achievement in business education worldwide and reaffirming the school’s dedication to maintaining superior standards across its undergraduate and graduate programs.

AACSB International, a global nonprofit association founded in 1916, connects educators, students, and businesses with a shared mission to cultivate the next generation of business leaders. As the largest and most prestigious accrediting body for business schools, AACSB is a hallmark of quality and rigor in business and management education. More information about AACSB International can be found at www.aacsb.edu.

Shenandoah University School of Business offers a diverse array of programs, including cutting-edge certificates in management, accounting, economics and finance, entrepreneurship, sustainability, sports management, and esports.

All School of Business programs are accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS), and all School of Business programs (except for esports-related programs), are accredited by AACSB International.
