Engaging in Inclusive Education

Understanding diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging starts with education. At Shenandoah University, we believe learning about the lived experiences of others helps build a more compassionate community.

The Office of Inclusion, Diversity, and Equity, which includes Mosaic Center for Diversity, NJWC, and LGBTQ+ Resource Center offers workshops, trainings, roundtable discussions, and other educational programs throughout the year to engage students, faculty, and staff in meaningful conversations around identity, bias, allyship, and social justice.

We focus on topics that center historically marginalized communities, promote intercultural awareness, and empower individuals to be advocates for equity and inclusion on campus and beyond.
