Shenandoah University’s Division of Education and Leadership’s Teacher Education programs at both Initial and Advanced Levels have been fully accredited for the past 5-7 years by the Council for Accreditation of Educator Preparation (CAEP) (Initial in 2019, and Advanced in 2021). Both levels contain 38 programs which are also Approved Licensure programs by the Commonwealth of Virginia.
This year the Educator Preparation Faculty conducted a Self-Study and submitted it to CAEP as step one in the current year’s Accreditation Review. Another step in this process is the Site Visit on November 5th, 2025.
