Douglass Day Transcribe-a-thon
February 13 @ 12:00 pm – 3:00 pm
Celebrate Black history through collective action as Smith Library hosts the Douglass Day Transcribe-a-thon on Friday, Feb. 13, from noon-3 p.m. on the first floor of Smith Library. Eenjoy cupcakes while learning how to transcribe historical documents from the African American Perspectives Collection at the Library of Congress, helping make significant moments in Black history more accessible to the public. Douglass Day is held annually on the chosen birthday of Frederick Douglass and honors his legacy by creating and preserving Black history. All are welcome, and faculty are encouraged to bring classes. For more information, contact Aimee Gee at agee@su.edu.
