Teaching Black History: Exploring The Legacies

The Center for Civic Engagement hosts a dialogue – Teaching Black History: Exploring the Legacies – on Wednesday, Feb. 18, from 6-8 p.m. in the Pruitt Health and Life Sciences Building, Halpin Rotunda. Participants are invited to reflect on the importance of Black history and examine current debates surrounding its place in school curriculum. The event will feature former Clarke County Principal and Educator, Brenda Jones, who will discuss her experience with teaching Black history. Snacks and drinks will be provided.
