Volunteer for the Girls On The Run 5K

Support the local chapter of Girls on the Run by volunteering for the celebratory end-of-season 5K on Saturday, April 18, at Admiral Byrd Middle School (134 Rosa Ln, Winchester, VA 22602). This high-energy event provides program participants of all abilities with a tangible sense of accomplishment, fostering confidence and joy at the finish line. Volunteer roles are available between 8 a.m. and 12:30 p.m., with specific opportunities including serving as running buddies, managing water tables, and distributing finish-line refreshments. No prior experience is necessary to help create a memorable experience for these young runners. Interested individuals can sign up for specific shifts through the official registration link.
