The Student Government Association is hosting the second annual Snow Globe Artisan Faire from 5–7 p.m. Friday, Dec. 5, in the Brandt Student Center, Ferrari Room. Shop handmade gifts, art and more from student organizations while enjoying winter-themed music, an ugly sweater competition and festive holiday cheer. Free donuts and warm refreshments will be provided. A tree lighting in Sarah’s Glen will follow the event. This program qualifies for Beyond the Classroom credit. Student clubs interested in serving as vendors may register using this Google Form. The registration form closes Friday, Nov. 21. For more information, contact sga@su.edu.

SOAR is joining up with Wild Guyde Adventures! Put on your coveralls, adjust your helmet, and venture deep into the earth through a primitive cave. Emerge with a new appreciation of what goes on beneath the surface. The trip begins at 11 a.m. and ends by 6 p.m. Fee includes professional guide, transportation, helmets, and headlamps. Join the Center for Civic Engagement for its monthly volunteer opportunity at the Clarke County Animal Shelter (225 Ramsburg Ln, Berryville, VA 22611) on Saturday, Dec. 6, from noon to 2 p.m. Volunteers will help socialize cats and dogs, assist with organizing and cleaning, and support the shelter’s daily operations.
