Begin With An Engaging GMBA Bootcamp
Module Size: 6 Credits
GMBA Bootcamp – The curriculum starts with six credit hours of bootcamp to bridge the gap between practices and learning. We merge key fundamentals and business applications, creating knowledge that is relevant to your professional context. You will leave the bootcamp with a clear understanding of market systems, institutions, and key analytical methods essential for business decision-making. Bootcamp also kick starts networking and teamwork as you begin to build the skill set needed for leadership. You will meet fellow students from the same cohort and begin to form teams. Strong peer learning and lasting relationships can be developed.
Core Curriculum Built To Develop Expertise and Inspire Success
The epicenter of the curriculum — a business core and a functional core — builds your expertise in general management.
Business Core
Module Size: 9 Credits
The business core serves to provide tactical knowledge and applications in organizational leadership and marketing. You will learn the practical models and qualitative insights needed for managerial decision-making as well as effective ways to organize operations to better meet market demand. A group simulation game helps accentuate these issues and provides the class with realistic and comprehensive learning experiences. You’ll also learn to apply essential tools and theories to marketing decisions like branding, product development and promotion, communications, distribution, and pricing. Using a matrix of key factors, you will develop and assess effective management and strategy for marketing. An information management course with a focus in business analytics further equips you with powerful insights about a wide spectrum of managerial issues — operations, marketing, finance, healthcare and more.

You’ll also analyze corporate financial policy, including capital structure and cost, financing, dividend policy, and M&As. In addition, you will acquire know-how on designing and operating productive systems as well as managing the flow of information, products, and services in a supply chain network. Our extensive use of case studies enhances your understanding by providing realistic examples for classroom discussion and analysis.
Explore Multiple Perspectives: The Making of a Sustainable Strategy

The goal of this module is to help you acquire multiple skills imperative to responsible and sustainable decision-making. You will become familiar with important legal and ethical challenges you may face as a business leader as well as issues like sustainability and social responsibility. You will also understand the strategic role played by HRBP in supporting business goals.
Successful management in today’s global business environment requires leaders to tap into additional insights drawn from economics, cultural literacy and political economy. You will study the workings of international macroeconomic markets, the impacts of government policies, and additional issues concerning the MNCs. You will also learn about different international regimes and cultures, starting with the United States, and understand how those factors help shape business practices and strategies. Aside from learning about business in the global economy, you will analyze the Chinese economy. Knowing China’s recent economic development, policy initiatives and business experiences will enable you to investigate and assess this market’s niche and outlook.
Become A Transformative Global Leader
Module Size: 3 Credits
This 3-credit integrative global management course is the program’s capstone. The objectives are twofold: i) to build expertise that transcends industries, generations, borders, and cultures, and ii) to incubate ideas and strategies that transform business practices. Harnessing a broad spectrum of knowledge acquired throughout the program, you are empowered with the complete skill set to assess a business entity’s competitive position, challenges and opportunities. Using an integrative approach, you will design and evaluate strategies that effectively address critical issues facing a company in the global marketplace.
Global Immersion Seminar
A successful global executive is one who can effectively demonstrate expertise and execute decisions in a global setting — a task that requires a global perspective. To support our commitment to foster global perspectives, the program includes a week-long global immersion program that brings students from Shanghai to the U.S. You will take classes with classmates and faculty, engage in cross-cultural conversations, and share ideas with community stakeholders. Business site visits with executive seminars as well as cultural events are the centerpiece of the immersion experience.
