At  Shenandoah University, assessment is used to inform decision making, and improve student learning, thereby deepening our commitment to achieving educational excellence.Assessment is a continuous process that incorporates the following:Compiling programatic assessment data for all academic programs, including the QEP and General Education Programs, as well as non-academic programsIdentifying learning needsCreating and measuring clear and concise student learning outcomesIdentifying appropriate opportunities for students to achieve outcomesSupporting the academic program review processGathering qualitative and quantitative data through the use of surveys and focus groupsIdentifying tools and metrics to gather necessary dataSupporting accreditation and strategic planning efforts.
