Students interested in enrolling in the dual Master of Physician Assistant Studies/Master of Public Health must be admitted and successfully complete one term in the MPAS program prior to submitting this dual degree application to the MPAS/MPH program.
Apply to the Master of Physician Assistant Studies through CASPA.
Apply to the Master of Public Health program using the dual degree MPAS/MPH application.

Shenandoah operates on a rolling admissions process, which means that we start interviewing applicants as soon as we have a complete file. It may take up to 8 weeks for CASPA to forward your file to us. Therefore, the sooner you submit your application and required paperwork, the better your chances of being interviewed and/or accepted.
MPAS/MPH Application Requirements & Program Prerequisites
- Full-time student status in good academic and professional standing in the Master of Physician Assistant Studies Program.
- Submission of an MPH application admission prior to April 16 of Spring term which includes the following:
- Graduate Application for Admission for the MPH program. (GMAT/GRE not required)
- One letter of reference : Written by a Shenandoah PA faculty member.
- Personal statement that describes the applicant’s education experience, and professional career objectives (1500 word maximum).
- Resume/C.V.
- Potential interview with the MPH Admissions Committee.
- Current PA students apply in Spring Semester of year 1 and need to be in good academic standing.
- Admitted students enroll for PH 501 in their first summer term.

The Doctor of Medical Science (DMS) is designed to prepare graduate-level PAs with the advanced skills needed in today’s dynamic healthcare environment as doctorally-prepared clinicians.
