Game Design & Development
Become a designer at the intersection of technology and play
The Minor in Game Design and Development teaches the fundamental design and programming skills that make computer games possible. In this minor, you’ll explore the psychology of play: why people play games and what makes them fun. You’ll use the resources of the Shenandoah Center for Immersive Learning (SCiL) to work with cutting-edge VR technologies and development tools. By the time you finish this minor, you’ll have made several portfolio-quality games, both on your own and in a team, and you’ll be well-positioned to start a career in game design.
The Game Design and Development Minor Includes the Following Classes:
- CSC 121 – Introduction to Computer Programming I
