Spanish graduate Allie King has been accepted to the Articulated Master’s program (Ed.M.) in TESOL at Teachers College, Columbia University. She previously earned a BA in French from Carnegie Mellon, an MEd in Foreign Language Education from the University of Pittsburgh, and a BA in Spanish from Shenandoah University. King was the 2012 winner of SU’s Eliana Cazaubon Hermann Award for Excellence in Spanish Scholarship, and a paper she wrote in SPAN 316, entitled “El hombre solitario: El existencialismo en la obra El túnel de Ernesto Sábato,” was accepted for publication in the 2013 edition of the journal Revista El Cid.
