Barnwell ’14, ’18 Awarded Trumpet Position in The U.S. Army Band Program

Anthony Barnwell ’14, ’18, was recently selected as a trumpet performer in the United States Army Band Program. He departs on Oct. 15, to begin his military career. Prior to his graduate studies at Shenandoah Conservatory, he was a music educator in Prince William County Public Schools, and a freelance musician in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area. Barnwell earned a Bachelor of Music in Music Education, Bachelor of Music in Performance (Trumpet) and a Master of Music in Performance (Trumpet) and studied with Adjunct Associate Professor of Trumpet Chuck Seipp, D.M.A.
