Gems on Campus: Relaxation Room

Campus Oasis Helps Ease Stress

Kinetic sand in the Relaxation Room in Shenandoah University's Wellness Center.University life can be stressful. You manage many due dates, classes, jobs, and whatever else life has in store for you. But, did you know that the third floor of Cooley has something that will help? The Wilkins Wellness Center established a Relaxation Room on campus to give the students a safe place to go when they are feeling stressed, and it’s available to all students and faculty.

Comfy seating, relaxing music, coloring supplies and even a high-quality massage chair are all on site, ready to melt your stressors away. Pick your choice of essential oils to envelop you in a comforting and rejuvenating scent.

Completing homework in that room is enjoyable, as it is easy to focus and calming at the same time. When you are ready to go, be sure to grab a stress ball on your way out!
