Not [Just] Women’s Center (NJWC)

The [Not Just] Women’s Center (NJWC) provides a safe place for people impacted by sexual violence to learn and heal together. Every survivor of sexual violence deserves the right to live a healthy and joyful life. The NJWC provides a confidential, non-judgmental, sensitive, and caring environment that allows you to reach your healing goals. All confidential resources are moving to an online or telephone platform, and we are here for you! To make an appointment, please contact Sarah Celec at scelec112@su.edu. She remains available as a confidential resource for those impacted by sexual violence who want to talk about resuming a sense of safety, reclaiming our lives, or any other concerns.

Counseling

The team is offering outreach programming for faculty and students. Faculty were recently sent information about this from the provost. We are brainstorming some additional options, but students can still schedule Teletherapy Sessions by emailing counseling@su.edu or calling 540-665-4752. Currently, there are restrictions on where our counselors can practice depending on which state the student is residing. If counseling is not available because of state restrictions, the spiritual life team has partnered with the Counseling Center to provide support.

Office of Student Success

The Office of Student Success is here to help you navigate this transitional period. We know this is a very challenging time for our students. If you need assistance, or are not sure who to contact please do not hesitate to reach out to our office and we will help get you in touch with the right resource. Contact Amy Sine at asine@su.edu or Nate Tabourn at ntabourn14@su.edu.
