Wold ’07 Joins SU Faculty, Receives Award and Publishes New Works

Adjunct Associate Professor of Organ Wayne L. Wold ’07, D.M.A., joined the Shenandoah Conservatory faculty in fall 2020 to teach organ. He recently retired as full professor and department chair from Hood College where he had taught since 1990. In August 2020, he was named this year’s recipient of Hood’s Laughlin Faculty Professional Achievement Award. So far this year, he has composed a choral collection, two other choral anthems and a collection of organ works, all of which have been accepted for publication. Wold has composed more than 400 published works.
