Schwarz Edits New Edition of Bloch’s ‘From Jewish Life’ and Performs at Eastern Music Festival

Assistant Professor of Cello Julian Schwarz, M.M., edited the cello and piano parts and wrote the preface for the new edition of Ernest Bloch’s “From Jewish Life: Three Pieces for Cello and Piano, B. 54” as released by Carl Fischer Publishing.

On July 31, Schwarz closed the Eastern Music Festival in North Carolina as soloist with the faculty orchestra performing Dmitri Shostakovich’s “Cello Concerto No. 1.” It was given a wonderful review by the Classical Voice of North Carolina.
